RONALD H. ROUDA was born and raised in SF and attended UC Berkeley before earning his law degree at Hastings in 1959. While there he was on the Law Review and later served on the faculty of Hastings College of Trials and Appellate Advocacy.
Mr. Rouda is the author of "Special Employee or Independent Contractor: When Does the Exclusive Remedy Defense Bar the Right to Recover Against a Borrowing Employer?" and "Closing Argument in Wrongful Death of 8-Year-Old Child," which were both published by the California Trial Lawyers Association.

Mr. Rouda has served as both a Secretary for American Inns of Court and a Superior Court Judge Pro Tem for the Superior Court of San Francisco. He also was editor of the California Trial Lawyers Association's Forum, and as editor-in-chief received a Presidential Award of Merit.

Mr. Rouda has been honored with a Certificate of Recognition by the California State Senate and received recognition by California Senator Quentin Kopp for Professional Accomplishments and Community Service. Ron Rouda, in addition to being voted California Trial Lawyer of the Year in 1995, has been in "The Best Lawyers of America," 1993-1994, and an Honored Member of Oxford's "Who's Who." In addition, Ron has appeared on Larry King Live debating "Secrecy in Settlements."

Some of the many professional organizations of which Mr. Rouda has been member are: the Bar Association of San Francisco, State Bar of California, San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association, Consumer Attorneys of California, The Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Western Trial Lawyers Association, American Board of Trial Advocates and American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys. He has served on the Board of Directors for several of these organizations.
